Born and raised in New York City, Paul Leibowitz is a fervent advocate for its arts and cultural soul. That is why he founded Plot, with the aim of informing, guiding, and ultimately growing the City’s creative community.

In 2015, Paul co-founded IndieSpace, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting independent theater. IndieSpace provides funding, real estate assistance, professional development, and advocacy to artists and venues, prioritizing transparency, responsiveness, and equity. Paul’s 30-year career in real estate is equally distinguished. Focused on investment sales and capital markets in New York, he has orchestrated over $30 billion in transactions, involving everything from capital raising and partnership structuring to negotiating record-breaking deals.

His achievements at CBRE earned him the title of Investment Properties Professional of the Year six times, and his team won the prestigious REBNY Henry Hart Award. Recognizing a gap in integrating real estate investment with the creative sector, Paul established Plot. This initiative leverages his deep real estate expertise and understanding of the creative community to foster vital, financially successful projects. Paul resides in Brooklyn, holds a B.A. from Lafayette College, and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Paul is a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York.
